Our classes are certified by the Health & Safety Institute (HSI) or the American Heart Association (AHA), ensuring high-quality training. Designed to equip individuals with the essential skills needed to respond effectively in emergency situations, our programs are ideal for individuals, families, and larger companies.

Basic Life Support (BLS)

The AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) Class is designed for healthcare professionals and those in related fields. This course covers high-quality CPR for adults, children, and infants, the use of automated external defibrillators (AED), and relief of choking. Participants will learn effective team dynamics, rescue breathing, and the importance of early use of an AED. Through hands-on practice and real-life simulations, this class ensures that participants are prepared to respond to cardiac and breathing emergencies with confidence and competence.

Bloodborne Pathogens

HSI's Bloodborne Pathogens class offers essential training for those exposed to blood or potentially infectious materials at work, meeting OSHA requirements. Participants will learn about common pathogens like HIV and hepatitis, transmission prevention, and the use of personal protective equipment (PPE). The course covers developing exposure control plans, handling sharps safely, and post-exposure procedures, with interactive modules and practical exercises. Ideal for healthcare workers, first responders, custodial staff, and lab personnel, this class ensures readiness to handle exposure situations. Upon completion, participants receive a one-year certification, validating their knowledge and preparedness.

CPR / AED / First-Aid

The CPR, AED, and First-Aid course provides essential skills and knowledge for effective emergency response, including CPR for all age groups, AED usage, and first-aid for various injuries and medical conditions. The course can be completed all at once or broken into two parts: CPR/AED and First-Aid. Through hands-on practice and real-life scenarios, participants will gain confidence to act quickly in emergencies. Upon completion, participants receive certification, demonstrating their readiness to perform CPR, operate an AED, and provide first-aid care. Ideal for workplace responders, caregivers, teachers, and community members, this course prepares you to make a critical difference when it matters most.

Advanced First-Aid

HSI's Advanced First Aid is ideal for workplace responders, community emergency teams, outdoor leaders, and first aid providers, HSI's Advanced First Aid course prepares individuals to respond to emergencies and provide critical care until professional help arrives. This comprehensive training covers patient assessment, advanced airway management, and circulation and shock management. Participants will learn techniques for treating various injuries, such as fractures, sprains, and burns, as well as responding to medical emergencies like heart attacks, strokes, seizures, and diabetic crises. The course also addresses handling environmental emergencies, including extreme temperatures, bites, and stings. Additionally, it emphasizes teamwork and communication skills to effectively manage emergency situations. The course includes practical exercises and hands-on practice. Upon successful completion, participants receive certification, demonstrating proficiency in advanced first aid skills.

The Child and Babysitting Safety (CABS)

The Child and Babysitting Safety (CABS) course is designed, by HSI, for young individuals, typically aged 11 and older, to develop essential skills for providing safe and effective childcare. The course covers child safety, injury prevention, basic childcare skills, child behavior understanding, emergency preparedness, and age-appropriate activities. Participants also learn professionalism and leadership skills to become responsible and reliable babysitters. Upon completion, participants receive a certification demonstrating their competence as certified babysitters. Ideal for aspiring babysitters and parents who want their older children equipped with vital childcare skills, the CABS course ensures you are well-prepared to care for infants and children safely and confidently.

Pediatric CPR / AED / First-Aid
